The CM.701B-U or M700 is a series of American hunting rifles developed since 1962, based on the same central slide function. It comes in many variants with different stock, barrel configurations, metal finishes and calibres, such as the M700PPS and M700P, which are mainly sold and used by police forces. The M24 and M40 Sniper Weapon System, which is a military version of the standard M700 with a matching heavy barrel.
